Privacy notice
Your privacy matters, particularly when you are sharing personal or difficult experiences. This notice explains how I, Dr Mandeep Kaur Khela, use information you share with me.
Information you share
When you contact me or work with me, you may share your name, contact details and information about your circumstances. Please share only what you feel is necessary when making an initial enquiry, particularly about children or other people.
I use this information to respond, understand what support you are looking for, and provide and arrange any support we agree. The McKenzie Friend enquiry form is provided by Jotform.
How I keep and share information
I normally access your information myself. Depending on how you prefer to communicate, information may be held in iCloud Mail, Hotmail, WhatsApp or locally on my devices. I take steps to keep your information secure. These services may process information to provide their services.
I may share information with other professionals if you ask me to or agree, or where the law requires or permits it.
How long I keep it
I keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. I consider its nature and sensitivity, the risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, and any applicable legal, tax or regulatory requirements.
Podcast updates
If you ask to receive podcast updates, I may use your email address to send occasional news about new episodes. You can ask me to stop at any time by emailing me. I may keep a record of your request so that I can respect it.
Website statistics
I count page loads and clicks on enquiry links to understand whether the website is being used. These are simple totals; the counters do not store your name, email address, IP address, cookies or browsing history. Hosting services may process technical information to deliver and protect the website.
Your choices and questions
You can contact me to ask what information I hold about you, to request a correction or deletion, or to ask about how it is used. Your rights depend on the circumstances.
